Cowboys QB Dak Prescott doing 'great' after surgery on non-throwing shoulder

It was learned back on March 1 that Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott underwent what was referred to as a "clean-up" surgery on his left (non-throwing) shoulder the previous week that ultimately wouldn't prevent the 28-year-old from being a full participant in the offseason program.

Per Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, Prescott addressed the matter with media members on Monday and explained his shoulder was feeling "great" following the procedure:

Prescott also offered high praise for wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who is now cemented atop the depth chart at the position following the departure of Amari Cooper. Cooper joined the Cleveland Browns via a trade that became official at the start of the new league year:

Todd Archer of ESPN noted earlier this month that Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy admitted Prescott's shoulder issue was an "irritant" during the latter portions of the campaign even if the problem was never mentioned on an official injury report. Per ESPN stats, Prescott finished the regular season third in the league among eligible quarterbacks with a 104.2 passer rating, 11th with a 54.6 total QBR, seventh with 4,449 passing yards, and tied for fourth with 37 passing touchdowns.

He missed one game, a win at the Minnesota Vikings on Halloween with a calf strain.
