Dallas could be without a key safety for Sunday’s season opener against the Giants. Malik Hooker has been added to the injury report due to illness. He is listed as questionable for the game.

No other specifics were provided on Hooker’s illness. The Cowboys and Giants meet in primetime in Week 1, squaring off in Sunday Night Football.

Hooker enters his third season with the Cowboys and fourth year in the NFL. He started his career in Indianapolis, playing for the Colts from 2017-20.

The defensive back appeared in 16 contests for Dallas last season, racking up 62 tackles, three interceptions and a scoop-and-score.
