NFL announcer and NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth is under a ton of fire after disrespectful comments that he made during Sunday Night Football’s matchup with the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Chargers. He was talking about how much he liked the Bears young quarterback Tyson Bagent who replaced starter Justin Fields due to injury. Collinsworth then took a disrespectful shot at Fields suggesting that he should learn from the rookie who started in only his second game in the league.

Reaction To Cris Collinsworth

NFL fans were in shock by his comments and called for him to retire and that he is the worst announcer in the National Football League. Many were calling him ignorant for his comments and they have a great point.

Chicago Bears Quarterback Situation

Bagent went 25-37 for 232 passing yards and two interceptions in last night’s 30-13 loss to the Chargers. He was able to score a rushing touchdown, but that’s the only upside to his performance last night. It is alright for Collinsworth to like the young quarterback, but these comments that he made make him less credible in anything he says from here forward.

The Bears are 2-6 after the loss on Sunday Night Football and will look to bounce back in their next game against the New Orleans Saints. Bagent will be getting the start once again next week with Fields still recovering from the injury he suffered a couple of weeks ago. Fields has been listed as week-to-week in his recovery according to head coach Matt Eberflus.
