What is the centerpiece of Orlovsky demonstrating the thinnest of skins as he responded to an extremely clever and well-done Twitter video that shows him to have a double-standard when it comes to judging the play of Cowboys QB Dak Prescott vs. his Buffalo counterpart Josh Allen?
Quite likely - because again, as Orlovsky has often proven when he takes his job seriously as opposed to when he succumbs to the temptation to go "Full Skip/Stephen A,'', he's no dummy - he realizes he's just been caught.
"Cowboys fans,'' the seemingly-sensitive Orlovsky tweeted. "Why don’t you guys let me do my job and be an analyst and y'all stay being “fans.” Cute video, though.''
The insult to "(just) fans'' is unfortunate. But what's worse, for Dan's credibility, is the video. Watch here - it's worth your six minutes.
The short version? Prescott interceptions are intolerable, while Allen's are excusable.
Orlovsky's judgment of Prescott is a matter of his opinion, and as he played quarterback in the NFL, he starts off there on well-earned footing.
But as revealed here, his "job as an analyst'' features him either having a blind spot or a bias ... or, he's following the lead of TV network shock jocks who know the financial rewards of latching onto to a Cowboys theme.
Orlovsky's "job as an analyst'' should absolutely include him criticizing the performance of the 10-4 playoff-bound Cowboys.
But when he decides his "job as an analyst'' is to taunt and troll, all because he's been shown to be a hypocrite? Dan Orlovsky transforms himself into a sensitive clown - and that's a waste of a talent of at ESPN, which could use his intellect, given that the clown car is already overstuffed.
