Dak put the blame for the Cowboys' blowout squarely on his shoulders. Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was subjected to one of the most humbling moments of his young NFL career on Sunday as the Denver Broncos blasted his team 42-17. However, Prescott’s response to the setback will probably encourage the team.

Prescott said all the right things after the blowout, taking responsibility for the loss and sounding optimistic about a return to form.

Prescott’s poise was notable, especially after his coach singled him out after the defeat. The quarterback definitely didn’t play well, but he’s shown the mental fortitude to bounce back.
