Damar Hamlin and the people that saved his life honored before Super Bowl

The NFL honored Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin, as well as the dozens of men and women that helped save his life before the start of Super Bowl LVII on Sunday.

Hamlin needed live saving CPR on the field during the first quarter of the Bills Week 16 game in Cincinnati after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The game was never completed.

Hamlin remained in the hospital for several days before being released and sent home.

In the weeks since he has worked toward returning to normalcy and was at the Bills' playoff game against the Miami Dolphins.

Hamlin Tweeted a selfie from the field saying that it was a blessing to be there.

The NFL also offered free CPR classes at the Super Bowl this week to anyone that wanted them.

While Hamlin was hospitalized an old GoFundMe surfaced that he set up as a college player at Pitt to raise money for at-need kids and received millions in new donations.
