Damar Hamlin vacations with Bengals wide receiver trio

Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin has been cleared to return to football activities following his terrifying in-game collapse this past season, and it looks like he is taking in some vacation time with members of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd posted a photo of Hamlin, Tee Higgins, Ja'Marr Chase and himself in front of a dune buggy in the desert this week.

Higgins also shared the photo from his own social media account as part of an Instagram story.

It was a January game against the Bengals where Hamlin collapsed on the field due to a cardiac event following a routine tackle of Higgins.

Hamlin was released from the hospital a week later and has been working his way back to a return to football ever since. He revealed that he suffered from commotio cordis, a rare cause of cardiac arrest that is caused by a hit to the chest in a precise spot at the wrong time in the heartbeat.

Hamlin and Boyd are both Pitt graduates from the Pittsburgh area and have known each other for years.

All of those players, and especially Hamlin and Higgins, will forever be connected after what happened during that Monday night game, and Higgins took it especially difficult given that he was the player that Hamlin tackled just before his collapse. It is good to see them all still be able to connect and enjoy time together.

Hamlin has not only been cleared to resume football activities, he intends to resume his career. The Bills selected him in the sixth round (No. 212 overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft and he has appeared in 29 games over the first two years of his career. He has recorded 93 tackles, 1.5 sacks, defended four passes and forced one fumble during that time.
