Damon Harrison: 'It's time to move on' from Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks veteran defensive tackle Damon Harrison asked to be released from the franchise after learning he'd be inactive against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
The Seahawks plan to grant Harrison his release, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. However, the 32-year-old said in a tweet on Sunday that he didn't want to leave, but that "it's time to move on."
Seattle signed Harrison to their practice squad in October but didn't make his Seahawks debut until about a month later. In six games with Seattle, the former All-Pro recorded three solo tackles and a forced fumble.
Harrison got playing time because Bryan Mone injured his ankle last month. Mone was activated off injured reserve Saturday, which pushed Harrison out of the lineup against the Rams on Sunday.
Harrison has also spent time with the New York Jets, New York Giants and Detroit Lions in the past.
