The Athletic’s Dane Brugler released his latest two-round mock draft, and he has a couple of very interesting prospects going to the Falcons:

Check out Dane on Twitter and subscribe to The Athletic, the whole mock draft is great. For the Falcons, Brugler has Atlanta addressing the pass rush in Round 1:

8. Atlanta Falcons — David Ojabo, edge, Michigan

Predictably, the Falcons finished dead-last in the NFL in sacks this season as they sorely lack the edge rush talent to keep offenses off-balance. Still young in football years, Ojabo is still a work in progress, but he has the talent level right now to stress blockers.

Polling several NFL personnel people for this mock, the feedback on Ojabo was he won’t be a top-10 pick because of his struggles vs. the run and his relative inexperience. But I’m betting on his ceiling at a premium position to bump him up in this draft class.

I like Ojabo’s potential a lot; he just started playing football a few years ago, but he has the ideal body you look for in a franchise pass rusher.

43. Atlanta Falcons — Malik Willis, QB, Liberty

I understand the desire to get a franchise quarterback, but I just don’t see it with Willis sometimes. I liked him to be a top-five pick going into the season, but his mechanics still need a lot of work and he didn’t take the steps forward I wanted to see in 2021. I see a lot of Geno Smith in him. With the right coach, he could still absolutely become a great quarterback.

63. Atlanta Falcons (from Tennessee) — David Bell, WR, Purdue

I absolutely love the David Bell pick. I’ve mocked Bell to the Falcons a few times, and he’s the perfect X receiver to help fill the void left by Julio Jones. If Calvin Ridley is traded this offseason, the Falcons will only have one wide receiver (Frank Darby) under contract going into free agency. Bell can certainly help Atlanta start rebuilding their wide receiver room.
