Defensive lineman Calais Campbell said he is "leaning toward" returning for a 17th NFL season in 2024.

Campbell, 37, surpassed 100 career sacks during his first season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2023.

He started all 17 games and collected 6.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, 17 quarterback hits and 56 tackles.

"I'm gonna go through my process, but I'm leaning toward playing again," Campbell said Monday, per Fox 5 Atlanta. "I mean, there's no guarantees once I go through that process. But the way I feel right now, my body and stuff, I feel like if were were playing this week in a playoff game, I'd be dominant and feel really good. And so, I mean, I'm sure I'm going to feel good in a few weeks. ... I don't see myself just wanting to walk away."

The six-time Pro Bowl selection and 2019 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year will be an unrestricted free agent.

Campbell has recorded 105.5 sacks in 244 games with the Arizona Cardinals (2008-16), Jacksonville Jaguars (2017-19), Baltimore Ravens (2020-22) and Falcons.
