Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider and coach Pete Carroll together currently oversee one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. …

But it's one still working to get up and back to the playoff for a second straight season. How to get the roster where it needs to be, leading up to, and on NFL cutdown day of Aug. 29, and on the days and weeks and months following? The team and front office have been working toward this during the preseason.

The Seahawks have wrapped up their preseason slate with a 2-1 record after falling 19-15 to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Saturday.

From the team's draft picks, to undrafted rookies and veteran offseason additions, there's been tons for the Seahawks to take a look at as they aim to finalize the roster. And who knows? One last-minute addition from the roster bubble to the final 53 could make all the difference in a season where the Seahawks are hoping to vault themselves back in the championship conversation in the NFC.

The construction never stops. And therefore, our All Seahawks at SI.com coverage of Seattle doesn’t, either ...

AUG. 28 SEAHAWKS' RB DEEJAY DALLAS SIGNALING HIS RELEASE? By our math, Seahawks' running back DeeJay Dallas is in line to make the team's final 53-man roster. With his play on special teams and production as a third-down specialist, he adds value to Pete Carroll's team.

But maybe Dallas isn't so sure about his spot, as over the weekend he posted some cryptic tweets seeming to suggest his time in Seattle was over. Last Saturday afternoon, Dallas posted "Can't wait to see what the future holds" to his Twitter. But hours after Seattle's preseason loss to the Packers - in which he rushed for 43 yards and caught a pass - he commented on his own post with "Such is life."

Dallas' latest post? A picture of him alongside SpongeBob SquarePants, adorned with a smiling emoji.

So ... stay tuned?
