The Denver Broncos have made some important changes behind the scenes this offseason. These moves probably did not show up on your feed or spark debate on talk shows, but they matter. Building a consistent and competitive football team starts with smart people in the front office. That is what the Broncos are trying to put in place right now. No gimmicks. No splash. Just a stronger foundation.

Reed Burckhardt Gets a Bigger Seat At the Table

The biggest move Denver made was giving Reed Burckhardt a well-earned promotion to Assistant General Manager. He came to the Broncos in 2022 after spending over 10 years with the Vikings and quickly became someone people leaned on. He is the type of guy who keeps things moving without making much noise. You will not catch him trying to take credit or make it about himself. He listens, he works hard, and when he speaks, people pay attention. Inside the building, there is trust in him and for good reason.

With Darren Mougey taking the general manager job with the Jets, Denver did not need to look far for a replacement. Burckhardt already knows the system and the people. He will now work even more closely with General Manager George Paton and Head Coach Sean Payton as the team reshapes its roster.

Durso and Williams Lead Player Personnel Together

A.J. Durso, who has been with the Broncos since 2010, has been promoted to Co-Director of Player Personnel. He had been running the pro scouting side since 2017 and has built a reputation for finding value where other teams are not looking. Whether it is free agency, waivers, or trades, Durso knows how to spot guys who can help the roster without breaking the bank.

Sharing the job with him is Camren Williams, a new hire from the Patriots. Williams spent nine years in New England, eventually becoming Director of College Scouting. He helped scout and shape multiple playoff rosters during his time there. He brings a methodical and disciplined approach that fits well with what the Broncos are trying to build.

By pairing Durso and Williams, the Broncos are blending two strengths. Durso brings deep knowledge of the current NFL landscape. Williams brings a sharp eye for college talent and draft strategy. Together, they give Denver more balance and flexibility in how it builds the team.

Jordon Dizon Returns With Super Bowl Experience

Jordon Dizon is back in Denver. He spent three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles as a national scout, helping build the roster that won Super Bowl LIX earlier this year. Dizon was with the Broncos from 2015-2021 and knows the culture inside the building. Now he returns as Director of Pro Personnel, taking over a department he already knows well.

The timing makes sense. Dizon brings experience from a winning organization and understands what works and what does not. He is not walking into something unfamiliar. He is stepping back into a place that knows him and values what he brings.

Bryan Chesin Steps Into College Scouting Lead

Bryan Chesin has been promoted to Director of College Scouting after years of work as the team’s Midwest Area Scout. He is not a loud voice, but is respected for being sharp, prepared, and consistent. He has built strong relationships with college programs and knows how to dig for details that do not show up on a stat sheet.

This promotion is a reward for years of hard work. It is also another sign that the Broncos are betting on people they already know and trust.

A Reset Without the Noise

There is nothing flashy about these moves, and that might be the best thing about them. The Broncos are not chasing headlines. They are tightening things up, putting experienced people in the right seats, and trying to make smarter decisions from top to bottom.

If the team starts trending in the right direction, this is where it begins. Not on game day. Not in free agency. But right here in the front office, with people who understand how to build a football team the right way. Quietly, carefully, and with purpose.
