There are violent protests in the streets of Haiti as many people are demanding that President Jovenei Moise resign from office.

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has friends in the region, and on Monday he pleaded with the media to “shine some light on the situation,” noting his “lifelong friend and precious people at Love A Child have been threatened to be attacked for two days now.”

Per the Love A Child website, the organization’s mission is: “Ministering to the poorest of the poor and working to spread the Word of God in all we do.”

According to BBC, “At least four people have been killed and dozens injured in four days of protests in the capital Port-au-Prince and other cities.”

Certainly, it’s a scary situation in which many innocents are being put at risk.
