The Carolina Panthers didn't have a good season this year, going 2-15, but one player was great for the NFL's worst team.

That would be former Auburn defensive lineman Derrick Brown. This season for the Panthers, Brown made history by recording 103 tackles, which broke the all-time record in the NFL for tackles in a single season by a defensive lineman.

This season, Brown had two sacks, six pass breakups, 15 quarterback hits, seven tackles for loss, and an interception. He also had a PFF grade of 90.1, which was fourth best among defensive tackles, and a 48% run stop win rate, the best among his position.

The only thing missing from Derrick Brown's 2023 season is a Pro Bowl appearance, which was a complete and total snub. Brown literally made NFL history for his position this season and was left out of the Pro Bowl.

Brown is an incredible person off the field and player on the field, so seeing him not make the Pro Bowl is incredibly frustrating.

Hopefully, if Brown can put up big numbers again next season, he will be selected to the Pro Bowl to represent Auburn. It would be great to see Brown move on to a new team at some point that could actually compete for a division, unlike the Panthers.

Congrats to the former Auburn legend for breaking an NFL record this season.
