Desean Jackson was one of the most electric players in Eagles history and NFL history. He amassed over 11,000 receiving yards and 1,300 return yards throughout his career. He had many Pro Bowls and other accolades but one thing he was missing,,,, a Super Bowl Ring. That was until the Rams won the Super Bowl in 2021.

Many people didn’t know if Jackson would be awarded a ring although he played on the team during the season for the first 7 games. In those games he had 8 receptions for 221 yards. Jackson is on the backend of his career and just trying to win.

Although he wasn’t apart of the team during the latter half of the season and the playoff run the organization still rewarded him with a ring for his efforts while apart of the organization.

Parting Ways

DeSean talked about his departure from the Rams while on the IAA (I Am Athlete) Podcast. He said that he loved the team but didn’t love his role on the team and HC Sean McVay knew that and tried his best to get him involved.

There was no bad blood between the two parties and he was able to play in his home town of LA.

Jackson was traded to the LV Raiders midway through the season where they made the playoffs after beating the LA Chargers in OT during week 18. They would fall to the Cincinnati Bengals 19-26 in the Wildcard Round.

Earlier in Desean Jackson’s career he missed out on a Super Bowl after Chip Kelly had him traded from the Eagles to the now Washington Commanders.

Four years later, he would have to watch his Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl from home after he was traded again to the Buccaneers. His future is up in the air as of now but he won’t retire if the right situation presents itself.
