Deshaun Watson reveals 'scary' addition to offense

The Browns brought in a lot of new faces this offseason through free agency, the draft and trades. But QB Deshaun Watson believes there is one player that opposing teams should be scared of the most.

"[Marquise Goodwin] can be scary because the secondary and the defense have to watch out for him," Watson told reporters. "If we can hit those deep shots, that can open up the run game and also the intermediate and short passing game."

Goodwin, who signed a one-year deal with Cleveland, has already been displaying a connection with Watson during the beginning stages of the summer.

The 32-year-old joins the Browns for his 10th season after spending 2022 with the Seahawks where he had 27 catches for 387 yards and four touchdowns.

He's clearly shown he's still got some gas left in the tank but will need to continue doing so if he wants to stay on the field.

Cleveland already has a talented receiver room that includes Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, Donovan People-Jones and Cedric Tillman and the team has been rumored to be one of the front-runners for free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins.

Goodwin may have an uphill battle to being a consistent part of the offense but he's certainly taking advantage of every opportunity thus far.
