Deshaun Watson briefly spoke to the media Friday after a grand jury declined to indict him on criminal charges relating to allegations of sexual assault.

The Houston Texans quarterback thanked supporters and said he was grateful to have a chance to share his side of the story.

“I’m going to keep fighting to rebuild my name and rebuild my appearance in the community,” Watson told reporters. “We’re going to continue to, on the legal side off the field, handle what we need to handle, but also ready to get back on the field.”

Watson also sent a tweet sharing his reaction to the grand jury decision.

The Texans quarterback will not face criminal charges, which likely clears the way for a potential trade. He is still facing 22 civil lawsuits and an NFL investigation, which could result in a suspension.
