Former Pittsburgh Steelers third-round pick Mason Rudolph is moving on, signing with the Tennessee Titans, marking the first time the quarterback has been on a different roster since being drafted in 2018.
The former Steelers' starter signed a one-year deal with the Titans, looking to be the backup to second-year passer Will Levis, but having an opportunity to claim the starting job in Tennessee. Now, details have emerged of his deal with the team.
Rudolph received a one-year deal worth $3.6 million with $2.7 million guaranteed. He received a $1.35 million signing bonus with a base salary of $1.35 million. He also has a $10,000 per game active roster bonus and a $750,000 playtime incentive written into his contract.
Essentially, Rudolph has an opportunity to another $767,000 more in the regular season if he becomes the starter and plays all 17 regular season games.
Rudolph is 8-4-1 as a starter all-time, helping the Steelers get to the postseason last year while throwing for 719 yards and three touchdowns.
