Offensive tackle Taylor Decker was not spotted at Tuesday's practice, during the portion that was open to the media at the team's Allen Park facility.

The Ohio State product played every snap of Detroit's season-opening win against Kansas City, but was observed in a walking boot following the game.

"Decker had a little bit of an ankle that he got early in the game and he played the whole game with it and finished out," Dan Campbell said Friday.

Against the Chiefs, the Lions came out pretty unscathed, with the veteran right tackle being the only player banged up.

"That was outstanding. I mean Deck’s a tough SOB, man. To watch him battle out there, it was impressive," said Campbell. "Look, we’ll know a lot more in a few days, but I’m encouraged because I know, there again, he finished out that game and we’re pretty good everywhere else.”

Detroit's offensive line coach, Hank Fraley, indicated the offensive line played physical in the opener but still needs to work on cleaning up fundamentals, as the unit had not played all together in over 12 months.

“It was good to see. Going into each of these seasons, they hadn’t been together. It was the first one, it was fun to see them go out there," Fraley explained. "I know they were pretty pumped for it. We got the W and it was a good win, good team win. Definitely a lot to clean up up there. I thought the guys played physical and stuff, so it was good. That’s what we thought they’d do, is go out there and be physical. That five, they worked well together, and they’ve worked well all training camp when we’re together out there. Those guys work well, they communicate well and it was fun to see all the hard work pay off.”
