There have been conflicting reports about whether DK Metcalf could be traded this offseason, and the Seattle Seahawks star took to Twitter on Monday to address the talk.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media was told by sources that teams have been calling the Seahawks to inquire about Metcalf. If they are considering moving on from the wide receiver, they apparently have not told him.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said last week that the team has no intention of trading Metcalf. Of course, he said the same thing before Russell Wilson was sent to the Denver Broncos in a blockbuster deal.

The Seahawks have obviously entered somewhat of a rebuilding period. They will have a new starting quarterback next season for the first time in a decade. However, it is unlikely that the 70-year-old Carroll wants to be part of a total teardown.

Metcalf is entering the final season of his rookie contract. He will be seeking huge money after that, which could factor in to Seattle’s plans. We know of at least one team that appears to be willing to give up a lot for the receiver.
