Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore had a scary moment Thursday night against the New York Jets.

Moore hit the field head-first and involuntarily twitched on the ground for a few moments. He was then taken to the locker room. Friday, Kevin Stefanski said Moore is getting better, but his overall condition is still relatively unknown.

Recently, Dr. Bennet Omalu, the inspiration behind the movie "Concussion" advised Moore -- that if it were up to him -- he'd retire from football or at least stay out for much longer than expected.

"He was having a seizure," Omalu said Friday. "A seizure is a manifestation of brain damage, brain injury. That is permanent damage.

"Given what I saw in that video, he should be benched for the rest of the season. For at least three months."

Though Moore was injured, the Browns still managed to beat the New York Jets Thursday, 37-20.

It was one of the crowning moments in Joe Flacco's brief Browns tenure. The win secured Cleveland's spot in the NFL Playoff.

It also keeps the Browns alive in the race for the AFC North, which should have a clear result after Week 17.

Moore had five catches for 61 yards and a touchdown before he suffered the injury.

The story of the game, however, was David Njoku, who exploded in the first half and finished the game with 134 yards and six catches on eight targets.
