Dolphins are unbeatable against QBs with the letter 'O' in their last name

Since 2021, the Miami Dolphins are undefeated against teams that trot out a quarterback who has the letter "O" in his last name.
It's an incredible statistic. Just as incredible is the fact that someone was able to spot it. Of course, it was someone on Reddit. Here it is, though, as shared by the NFL on ESPN:

Mac Jones and Lamar Jackson of the Patriots and Ravens, respectively, kept this wild anomaly going at the start of the season as the Dolphins started 2-0 against the Patriots and Ravens.

If the trend was true and indeed wanted to keep going, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills would have given the Dolphins their first loss of the season. In this stretch, the Dolphins have been beaten by every single team with a quarterback (0-9) that didn't have 'O' in their last name.

If you're reading this you probably know the trend was bucked. Miami got the "lack of O problem" off its back with a 21-19 win over the Bills this past weekend.

Now at 3-0 and arguably the hottest team in the NFL, it will be interesting to see what trends the Dolphins play off of next.

Interestingly enough, their unbeaten streak against the "O quarterbacks" can continue in Week 4 against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
