Dolphins-Eagles joint practice cancelled due to stomach bug, possible food poisoning
The Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles opened up their joint practice sessions this week on Wednesday ahead of their Saturday night preseason tilt. The teams were scheduled to hold their second joint practice on Thursday but plans have changed.
While the Eagles will reportedly still hold their own practice, the Dolphins will meet virtually, according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.
Philadelphia has split their first two preseason games, falling to the New York Jets 24-21 on Aug. 12 and defeating the Cleveland Browns 21-20 on Sunday. The Eagles will open up their regular season against the Detroit Lions at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 11.
Miami has also gone 1-1 in the preseason thus far, dropping the Tampa Buccaneers 26-24 on Aug. 13 and losing to the Las Vegas Raiders 15-13 on Aug. 20. The Dolphins take on the New England Patriots at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 11 in Week 1.
