Dolphins Pro Bowl LT's injury explanation relieves Tyreek Hill

The Miami Dolphins had a serious scare on Thursday when left tackle Terron Armstead suffered a right leg injury.

Armstead's explanation for the injury to teammate Tyreek Hill should put fans at ease though.

Shortly after the wide receiver revealed what the 32-year-old lineman said, Armstead took things a step further and posted a video on social media of himself walking with seemingly little issue. This was only hours after he had to be carted off the practice field due to the injury.

If Tua Tagovailoa and company needed even more assurance that Armstead should be alright, NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Thursday afternoon that the 11th-year pro texted him "I'll be good."

As mentioned by the "Cheetah," the 2013 third-round pick is critical to the Dolphins' success on offense, creating open lanes for the running game, protecting Tagovailoa and giving him time to find the team's elite receiving weapons like Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Armstead joined Miami in March 2022 after spending nine seasons with the New Orleans Saints and working alongside future Hall of Famer Drew Brees.

After three straight Pro Bowl campaigns from 2018 to 2020, Armstead was limited to eight games in 2021, before bouncing back to play 688 offensive snaps last season across 13 contests and earning another Pro Bowl honor.

Given that the Dolphins have their second preseason game in just over 48 hours (Saturday against the Houston Texans), it wouldn't be a surprise to see them take a cautious approach with their star tackle. Miami opens up its regular season at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sept. 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
