Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (finger) full participant in practice

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missed two straight starts and was limited in practice on Wednesday ahead of Sunday's game at the New York Jets because of the fracture in the middle finger on his throwing hand.

However, Miami head coach Brian Flores suggested Monday Tagovailoa would return to the lineup this weekend, and the second-year pro was a full participant in practice on Thursday for the first time since Oct. 29, per Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.

Tagovailoa began the win over the Baltimore Ravens on Nov. 11 as a spectator until backup Jacoby Brissett hurt his knee during the prime-time contest. Miami's standard QB1 entered the game and completed eight of 13 passes for 158 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions but iced the matchup away via a rushing score with slightly over two minutes remaining to propel the Dolphins to 3-7 overall:

According to CBS Sports, Brissett was a full participant on Wednesday and Thursday and, presumably, would be available against the Jets if Tagovailoa suffers a setback before or on Sunday. Flores admitted earlier in the week Tagovailoa had "some discomfort" and "hit the finger again" versus Baltimore, so logic suggests the 23-year-old is merely penciled into the lineup before he completes his warmup at MetLife Stadium.

The Dolphins host the Carolina Panthers on Nov. 28.
