Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa returns to practice, 'highly unlikely' to play Week 6 vs. Vikings
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is back on the practice field Wednesday for the first time since suffering a concussion during the team's Week 4 "Thursday Night Football" game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to reports, however, the lefty is "highly unlikely" to play Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport had further details on Tagovailoa -- plus an update on the team's backup signal-caller Teddy Bridgewater -- who suffered a concussion in Week 5.
The NFL and NFLPA recently made modifications to the league's concussion protocols following Tagovailoa's pair of highly-publicized on-field incidents in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills and in Week 4 against the Bengals.
Despite heavy criticism and speculation, the NFL and NFLPA's investigation over how the Dolphins' medical staff and the Unaffiliated Neurotrauma Consultant handled the event in Week 3 concluded that protocols were followed correctly.
