Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa put on a show this weekend in Vegas during Super Bowl weekend festivities.  It wasn't exactly the kind of performance that Dolphins fans were hoping for back in November.

Tagovailoa joined performer Darius Rucker on stage and performed the song "Wagon Wheel", which was a hit for Rucker about a decade ago.

The collaboration has been two months coming.  Tagovailoa joined Peyton and Eli Manning on the Monday Night Football ManningCast during the Bengals vs. Jaguars game.  He broke out his guitar and performed a stirring rendition of Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven".

A fan tagged Rucker and called for a jam session between the Dolphins' star QB and the accomplished singer.  Rucker responded quickly that he was down for a collaboration, to which Tagovailoa responded with a guitar emoji.

The wait was worth it.  Tagovailoa and Rucker made the crowd sing and sway with their smooth melody.  Included among the group swaying was New York Giants QB Daniel Jones, who faced Tagovailoa and the Dolphins back on October 8, a game won by the Dolphins 31-16.

Tagovailoa is undoubtedly a talented musician and should have plenty of opportunities to perform with noted musicians moving forward.  Dolphins fans just hope that he will have something else a little bit more important going on during Super Bowl weekend in the coming years.
