Dolphins' Tyreek Hill might have willed a Bills fan to hit WR coach Wes Welker with a snowball

On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins will make a second trip to Orchard Park to take on the Buffalo Bills, only this time with a trip to the AFC divisional round on the line.

The Dolphins' first visit to Highmark Stadium saw the team welcomed by a barrage of snowballs from "Bills Mafia" in a memorable late December game in Week 15. On Friday, wideout Tyreek Hill revealed to reporters that even receivers coach Wes Welker wasn't immune to the fans' wrath and that he may have willed it to happen.

"I was kind of mad at Wes and like, I don't know if like somebody felt my energy, and they just hit him right in the jaw with a snowball," Hill said. "And I'm like that's what you get."

Hill's story has merit as the snow flew from all corners of the stands throughout the game until the harmless winter fun nearly resulted in consequences for the Bills. Dolphins' head coach Mike McDaniel lobbied for an unsportsmanlike penalty on the Bills for the fans' poor behavior. While no flags fell, officials said they'd assess Buffalo with a 15-yard penalty if a snowball hit a player. Even the Highmark Stadium social media account warned fans, threatening ejections for those who continued the tomfoolery.

While the Dolphins are looking for a better result this Sunday, after falling 32-29 four weeks ago, Hill is also hoping there's no more white stuff falling from the sky.

"I just hope that there isn't any snow, so fans aren't throwing or launching snowballs at us because it was crazy last time," Hill said.

Hill is in luck. As of Friday evening, the forecast for Sunday is sunny, with a frigid high of 30 degrees, according to Accuweather.
