Dolphins' Tyreek Hill sends warning to Chiefs ahead of clash in Germany

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill played for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2016 through the 2021 season, and he sent a warning to his former employer ahead of Sunday's game between the clubs in Frankfurt, Germany.

"It doesn't really matter where we play at," Hill told reporters on Thursday, per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN. "I mean, obviously it would've been great to play in K.C., but it really doesn't matter where we play at, you feel me? They going to get this work wherever."

According to Dolphins beat reporter Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald, Hill essentially dared the Chiefs to use his words as "bulletin board material."

Hill was already a six-time Pro Bowler with three First-Team All-Pro nods on his résumé when he joined the Dolphins from the Chiefs in March 2022. As part of the trade, Miami signed Hill to a four-year, $120M contract extension that reportedly included $72.2M in guaranteed money.

"I'm kind of glad that [the trade] happened," Hill acknowledged on Thursday. "Obviously the situation that I'm in is great. I've got great teammates. My family is from Miami, and also, I accomplished one of my goals of being one of the highest-paid in the league. So, everything's great. Life is great, man. Never can take anything for granted. So, I can't look back. Always got to look forward. That's my mindset."

Per ESPN stats, Hill began Thursday leading the NFL with 1,014 receiving yards and eight touchdown catches on the season. He was tied for second in the league at that time with 61 receptions.

As of Thursday afternoon, OddsChecker listed the 6-2 Chiefs as 1.5-point favorites against the 6-2 Dolphins. Hill hinted he could use that type of information as ammunition while playing against former teammates such as Kansas City superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes and All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce.

"It is going to be trash talk, but it's going to be fun though," Hill said about Sunday's encounter. "It's going to be like, 'I want to see you do good, but we going to bust your a-- at the same time, though.' It is going to be one of those things like backyard football with your brothers."
