Dolphins WR believes 'sky is the limit' for QB and offense

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill believes quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and their high-octane offense could shred defenses in 2023.

"He is going to go crazy," Hill recently told Aaron Wilson of KPRC-TV in Houston during the football camp of fellow wideout and teammate Jaylen Waddle. "He can have me and Waddle on one side and Devon Achane and Raheem Mostert on the other side. The sky is the limit for this offense."

The Dolphins' offense was already productive last season. It finished sixth in yards and 11th in scoring. Hill ranked second in receiving yards (1,710), while Waddle was seventh (1,356). In 13 games, Tagovailoa tied for eighth in touchdowns (25) and logged the third-best QBR (68.8).

There was a major concern though, namely Tagovailoa's health. He suffered multiple concussions last season, including one where he was carted off the field against the Bengals in Week 4. The 25-year-old admitted that he considered retiring. Nonetheless, he recently said, "It would be really hard to walk away from the game," per NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.

In the offseason, he built more muscle to protect himself and learned Judo to fall safely after getting hit, via CBS Sports. The new training regimen may have worked, because Tagovailoa appeared to have a sturdier frame at the beginning of OTAs. If the QB stays healthy, the Dolphins offense could elevate to the next level.

They added more speed, drafting Achane, who ran a 4.32 40-yard dash at the combine. Also, it was the unit's first year under rookie head coach Mike McDaniel, making its stats more impressive.
It wouldn't be surprising to see Miami rank among the league's top offenses in 2023, fulfilling Hill's expectations.
