Eagles among 'several' teams interested in trading for Dolphins WR DeVante Parker

The Miami Dolphins made big moves at wide receiver this offseason, including trading for six-time Pro Bowler Tyreek Hill, and DeVante Parker may now be the odd man out.

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, "several teams have shown interest" in Parker, including  the Philadelphia Eagles.

Parker, 29, was a first-round pick in 2015, but his time with the Dolphins has included some rocky relationships. He caught only nine touchdown passes and failed to eclipse 1,000 yards in his first season while he was seemingly phased out of the Miami offense during Adam Gase's tenure as head coach. But the Dolphins retained Parker on a fifth-year option anyway, and he broke out in the first year after Gase's firing with 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns in 2019.

In 2021, Parker missed seven games due to a hamstring injury that led to a stint on the injured reserve. He finished the year with 40 receptions for 515 yards with two touchdowns.

In addition to acquiring Hill in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Dolphins also signed former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. to a three-year deal in free agency.

Parker has two years left on his contract with the Dolphins with salary cap hits of $8.74 million and $9 million in the next two seasons.
