The Philadelphia Eagles announced three roster moves ahead of Week 5's road match against the Los Angeles Rams.

For starters, the team officially placed starting right guard Cam Jurgens on injured reserve with a foot injury. This means Jurgens will miss at least the next four weeks of the season and be eligible to return in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Birds also elevated punter Braden Mann and newly-signed cornerback Bradley Roby.

This is the third and final time that Mann can be elevated to the Eagles' active roster. After Sunday, the Eagles must sign Mann to their 53-man roster if they plan to play it safe and keep him in Philly or they can add him back to the practice squad, but only if he passes through the waivers.

As for Roby, he joined the Eagles' practice squad on Wednesday as an emergency depth cornerback. The Eagles originally planned to keep him on the practice squad until he learned the defense and got back into game shape, but it appears he's caught on rather quickly.

Roby, a former first-round pick by the Denver Broncos, is expected to take the place of Avonte Maddox in the slot so the Eagles can move James Bradberry back to the outside.

The Eagles are a bit banged up in their secondary and are about to face a tough task against Rams wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, so having Roby available to step up is huge.

In addition to these roster moves, the Eagles gave two injury updates

Wide receiver Britain Covey has officially been cleared from concussion protocol and will play on Sunday, and running back Rashaad Penny has been added to the injury report with an illness and is now doubtful.

Kickoff for Sunday's game against the Rams is at 4:05 p.m. ET.
