Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Milton Williams suffered a should injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders.

He was deemed questionable to return but ended up making a comeback in the second half.

That's good news for the Eagles who have now lost rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter to a back injury.

Carter, who has been dominant all season, had just one tackle and a single QB hit before exiting the game early. His injury doesn't seem to be that serious since he was able to walk himself into the locker room.

The young defender missed Week 6's game against the New York Jets due to an ankle injury.

Carter has logged 13 tackles, 12 QB pressures, 3.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles through six games so far.

Williams will help take over his snaps. The Eagles also have Fletcher Cox and Jordan Davis.

Other players were injured against the Commanders as Eagles' tight end Grant Calcaterra was ruled out with a concussion, and right guard Sua Opeta went down in the third quarter and was replaced by rookie Tyler Steen.

It's worth noting that starting right guard Cam Jurgens (foot) is eligible to return from injured reserve as soon as next week.
