The Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles are locked into a tight Week 17 battle, and for the moment, the home squad will be without their leading tackler.
Eagles safety Reed Blankenship exited the game early in the second quarter - he went directly to the blue medical tent with an undisclosed injury.
UPDATE (via Oliva Reiner): "Reed Blankenship is out of the medical tent and seems to be in good spirits hyping Sydney Brown up after his pick six. Just gave him a big hug. Blankenship has also got his helmet back."
UPDATE: Blankenship is now back on the field.
Blankenship had 97 tackles entering Week 17 with ten passes defensed, two interceptions and one fumble recovered. He's played a big role in ensuring the Eagles' clinched a playoff spot with hopes of securing the NFC East title, too.
Just a few plays after Blankenship scored, Eagles corner Sydney Brown took a 99-yard interception back to the house for a score. Philadelphia currently leads 14-3 in the second quarter.
