The Philadelphia Eagles have some potential franchise-altering days ahead of them as they prepare for Thursday's 2023 NFL Draft.

But while continuing to juggle all the possibilities that could come their way at the No. 10 and No. 30 overall picks, the Eagles are still making some slightly less headline-grabbing moves to help shape out the roster.

The Eagles have signed tight end Tyree Jackson to an exclusive-rights tender and released safety Marquise Blair, the team announced Monday.

Jackson appeared in nine games as a rookie in 2021. A former collegiate quarterback at Buffalo, he totaled three catches for 22 yards and one touchdown for Philly during his rookie season. All of this production came in the 2021 season finale against the Dallas Cowboys.

Blair, a former second-round pick the Seattle Seahawks in 2019, had signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles two days before Philly played in Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs. He appeared in three games for the Carolina Panthers last season before signing to Philly's practice squad on Nov. 16.

But now he'll hit free agency after not playing a single snap in an Eagles uniform.

Despite the Eagles' needs at safety, Blair's experience in the league didn't convince the team enough to keep him around. In 25 career games, he's totaled 50 tackles, three forced fumbles and three pass breakups.

The Eagles could now potentially look to the draft to address their needs in the secondary.
