Eagles QB Jalen Hurts reacts to team trading for Robert Quinn

As if there were any questions about the focus of the Philadelphia Eagles this year, Howie Roseman made another win-now move ahead of the NFL trade deadline. For the small cost of a fourth-round draft pick the Eagles added three-time Pro Bowl defensive end, Robert Quinn.

The news was celebrated greatly by Eagles fans. Upgrading at the defensive end position was looked at as a priority following Derek Barnett tearing his ACL in Week 1. While Quinn has registered just one sack and eight tackles this season, he was second in the NFL in sacks last season with 18.5.

Jalen Hurts was asked about his thoughts on the trade by the media and kept the calm demeanor that has come to be expected. Per Josh Tolentino of the Philadelphia Inquirer he stated, "The weather changes but we don't in regards to our goals and what we want to accomplish. We will welcome him in. He's done this.  I can't wait to meet him and get it rolling."

This type of focused attitude and mature mindset has come to be expected from Hurts. He has answered the questions of if he is capable of being the franchise quarterback and has been vital to the 6-0 start for Philadelphia.

The loss of Quinn also is wearing heavy on his former Bears teammates. When asked about the trade, Roquan Smith broke down to the Chicago media and was forced to leave the interview.

It will not be long until Quinn and Hurts take the field together and he joins on the quest at accomplishing the goals Hurts mentioned. The first step in this will be the Eagles matchup against the Steelers this week as they return to play following the bye.
