The Eagles have signed Punter Braden Mann to the practice squad which could signal the Ned of the Arryn Siposs era. Siposs has been elevated twice this season already and per the NFL’s ruling, players can only be elevated from the practice squad three times in a season before the team is forced to either cut the player or sign them to the active roster.

Eagles looking to replace Arryn Siposs?

Siposs has had a tough go in Philly. Last season he was heavily ridiculed for his lack of efficiency which has been another root problem in the special teams group. Britain Covey could be the next victim of the Practice Squad rules unless the Eagles lose a receiver and sign him onto the active roster.

Braden Mann was just recently cut from the Steelers during the offseason but he previously served as the punter for the New York Jets over the last three years of his career. In 2022, Mann had a touchback rate of 9.6% last season while also landing 32.5% of his punts inside of his opponent’s 20-yard line.

This is a good move for Philly as the 25-year-old could provide so much-needed help on special teams. It looks like the Eagles could be bolstering up their special teams over the next few days to a week.
