The Philadelphia Eagles secondary has seen a few changes this week as the team prepares for a matchup on Sunday Night Football with the Miami Dolphins at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles made two roster moves regarding their secondary on Tuesday, signing Josiah Scott to the active roster off of the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad and also waiving cornerback Mario Goodrich.

It's unclear yet whether Goodrich will find his way to the practice squad or if his time with the team is over. Philadelphia gave him an undrafted free agent contract after he went unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Clemson. He never saw the field until this season, playing in four games and recording five tackles.

Scott is familiar with the Eagles, having spent two seasons with them already. He was originally drafted in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars who then traded him to Philadelphia for a 2023 sixth round pick and Jameson Houston.

The 24-year-old cornerback out of Michigan State played in 29 games for the Eagles, recording 49 tackles, one sack, eight passes defended and two interceptions.

In addition to the roster moves, cornerback Bradley Roby has a shoulder injury and is considered to be week-to-week. The team is not likely to put Roby on injured reserve, but he could miss a game or two from the injury.

Roby joined the Eagles roster early in October and played in two games against the Los Angeles Rams and the New York Jets.

Philadelphia could have some trouble with the high-scoring Dolphins offense if its secondary isn't healthy when the two teams play on Sunday at 8:20 p.m.
