Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts took a huge step forward, and players like Dallas Goedert benefited greatly. Philadelphia's offense was downright dominant. The Eagles went into the fourth quarter often with insurmountable leads thanks to an onslaught of weapons. In a recent interview, Goedert gave a bold take on where he has Hurts ranked in terms of quarterbacks in the league.

Dallas Goedert Thinks Jalen Hurts Is “Top Two” In The League

Goedert was on the "Pardon My Take" podcast and had this to say about his quarterback.

“I think Jalen has to be at the top. If you don’t, you’re just trying to use his name. You can say he’s got good talent around him. No, he’s a dog. He’s really good. I think he should be top three, top two. It’s hard to take anything away from Patrick (Mahomes). You go down that list and there’s probably 10 quarterbacks that could be in the top five. Depends on what fan base you are. But personally speaking, Jalen is in the top two.”

He mentions Patrick Mahomes and seems to put Hurts right behind the Chiefs quarterback. That is some high praise for the Eagles quarterback.

Ranking The Top Is Hard

It would be very easy to blast this take saying, “What about Justin Herbert? Aaron Rodgers? Josh Allen? Joe Burrow?” However, what Hurts brings to the table is hard to argue with. His passing game improved dramatically and his athletic ability makes him a dangerous dual-threat quarterback. He was able to generate so many points with his legs that it opens up the passing game in a new way. The real test will be whether he can duplicate the success this season. Considering the weapons, there's a good chance he will.

Dallas Goedert is sold on Jalen Hurts, and if he continues his ascend, he could cement himself as a top-two quarterback in the league.
