The Philadelphia Eagles could be getting a major boost to their offense sooner rather than later.

According to Josh Tolentino of the Philadelphia Inquirer, starting tight end Dallas Goedert is trending in the right direction.

"Goedert just wrapped up a cardio workout. Chatted with him now in the locker room and he seems to be in great spirits, indicated he's healing quicker than initially expected," Tolentino wrote on Twitter/X following Friday's practice.

Goedert injured his forearm against the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 5 and has been sidelined since then.

The Eagles purposely didn't put him on injured reserve, knowing he would make a return a lot sooner than the projected timetable.

"We have high hopes that Dallas is going to be back," Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters last week. "Again, I don't know when. I think that's unfair to Dallas...There is a reason he's not an IR."

The Eagles face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, which Goedert will also miss. However, if he is available for the Birds' tough three-game stretch starting in Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers, that'll be a game-changer for the offense.

Until Goedert is ready to suit up again, the Eagles will continue to lean on Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam. We could also see the team elevate an extra tight end with Grant Calcaterra ruled out against the Bills due to an ankle injury.
