Eli Manning is finding easing into retirement life quite enjoyable, and some recent hijinks involving Peyton shows the two brothers still haven’t grown out of engaging in adolescent-level shenanigans.

Eli and Peyton are currently on the West Coast taking part in the star-studded AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The two brothers spent time ribbing one another while recounting recent family golf outings during an interview aired on the Golf Channel.

The most outrageous moment of the interview came when Eli shared an anecdote that indicates he still hasn’t forgotten how big-brother Peyton regularly tormented him during their childhoods.

The two were on a golf trip recently, and Eli took full advantage of Peyton taking a nap by sneaking into his brother’s room and giving him what’s called an “atomic wedgie.”

“An atomic wedgie is when you get the underwear over the head. That’s when it’s an atomic,” Eli said, via the New York Post. “It was one of my proudest moments. My parents, my mom and dad were so proud when I told them.”

“It’s payback for as a kid, I’d get on top of him and put my knees on his arms and bang on his chest,” Peyton said.

“I promise you, over 39 years, I’m still definitely behind,” Eli said. “From age 7 to 15, there was a lot of time in there. I had no defense.”

It certainly appears that Eli and Peyton enjoy the kind of sophomoric sibling relationship that has been common between brothers for eons. The fact that Eli touted giving Peyton an atomic wedgie — an act once hilariously endured by George Costanza on “Seinfeld” — as one of his “proudest moments” makes the story even better, if that’s possible.

What’s more, the gratification Eli felt unleashing the atomic wedgie on Peyton proves the truth behind the old saying that revenge is a dish best served cold.
