ESPN made some offseason predictions this week for various NFL teams and they think the Philadelphia Eagles will offer a "big contract" to a free agent defender.

Aaron Schatz predicted that the Eagles will try to sign Carolina Panthers linebacker Frankie Luvu.

From ESPN: The Eagles will finally spend some money at the linebacker position by offering a big contract to Panthers free agent Frankie Luvu. He can play off the ball or off the edge, giving flexibility to whoever is calling the defensive plays in Philadelphia next season.

Luvu was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He's developed into a productive starting linebacker over the last two years with the Panthers, totaling 236 tackles over the last two seasons. He also has 12.5 sacks over the last two years.

AtoZ Sports' Josh Queipo and Kyle Dediminicantanio recently projected that Luvu will receive a two year deal worth $24 million with $16 million in guaranteed money and a year one cap hit of $6.5 million.
