Every indicator points to big win for Eagles over Bears

Sometimes a team has your number.

Historically, the Chicago Bears have had the advantage over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are 13-29-1 against the Bears all-time. But this week, heading into the Week 15 matchup between the teams, Philadelphia really has Chicago's number.

Philadelphia is a nine-point favorite but it should really be more. Where the Bears are weak, the Eagles are strong. Both teams run the ball well. Both have young, dynamic quarterbacks. But in every matchup, Philadelphia has the edge.

The Eagles lead the league with 27 rushing touchdowns. On the other hand, the Bears have allowed 21 rushing touchdowns, most in the league. That doesn’t bode well for Chicago. Jalen Hurts could easily run for two scores before halftime.

The fate of the game could turn in one particular quarter. Philadelphia has scored 141 points in the second quarter this season. That leads the NFL. The Bears have allowed 138 points in the second quarter. Unfortunately for Chicago, that also leads the NFL. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Eagles take control of the game in the second quarter on Sunday.

Defensively, the differences are just as obvious.

Chicago has just 16 sacks this season, the fewest in the NFL, while Philadelphia leads the league with 49.

Add it all up and the Bears will be hard-pressed to win their fourth game. Better days could be ahead, but Sunday won’t be one of them.
