Atlanta Falcons great Michael Vick is on the ballot for the 2024 class of the College Football Hall of Fame for his illustrious career at Virginia Tech.

The ballot was revealed earlier in the week and features some all-time greats, including Larry Fitzgerald and Terrell Suggs; however, neither was the first overall pick like Vick.

Under Frank Beamer at Virginia Tech, Mike Vick became a superstar, leading him to becoming the top player selected in the 2001 NFL Draft. His 1999 season will go down as one of the best single-season performances in the history of college football.

Vick showcased his one-of-a-kind talent as a redshirt freshman en route to a third-place finish in the Heisman Trophy voting, including an 11-0 regular season record.

Unfortunately, the Hokies could not top the talent-rich Florida State Seminoles in the 2000 BCS National Championship, but Vick’s season wasn’t tarnished.

He threw for over 2,000 yards and 13 touchdowns to go along with nearly 700 yards and nine scores on the ground. He was the first of his kind — a two-way threat at the quarterback position.

Over his two-year career at Virginia Tech, he accumulated 3,299 passing yards and 21 touchdowns, as well as 1,299 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. The official announcement isn’t until January, but it’s safe to assume he’ll be inducted.

Mike Vick will be enshrined in Atlanta, where the College Football Hall of Fame is located and coincidentally where his NFL career began. An all-time Falcons great will forever be remembered in Atlanta.
