Ex-NFL tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins arrested for DUI, other driving offenses

An ex-NFL tight end has found himself in a bit of trouble.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins was high, drunk and speeding when he was arrested for DUI last week, according to police documents obtained by TMZ Sports.

A police officer says the NFL free agent was driving erratically and going 48 mph in a 30 in Gig Harbor, Wash., around 1 a.m. He also was swerving in his 2016 Dodge Charger and almost turned onto an off-ramp the wrong way before cutting across lanes of traffic without a blinker.

The officer also says Seferian-Jenkins smelled of alcohol and weed and that his eyes were red and bloodshot. The 27-year-old was arrested after refusing field sobriety tests.

Seferian-Jenkins received three charges: one for DUI, one for driving with a suspended license and one for operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.

The ignition interlock device should've been present in Seferian-Jenkins' vehicle since he's been arrested for multiple DUIs — one in 2013 and another in 2016.

The free agent was signed by the New England Patriots last offseason but cut from the team before the season began.
