Former Ohio State Buckeyes defensive end Chase Young will reportedly sign a one-year, $13 million fully guaranteed contract with the New Orleans Saints per ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler.

Young played in Columbus from 2017 through 2019 and appeared in 34 games. He registered 30.5 sacks, 98 tackles with 68 solo and a whopping 40.5 for loss. Young also forced nine fumbles and defended 8 passes.

Young finished fourth in Heisman voting in 2019 before being selected by Washington as the No. 2 overall pick in that year's NFL Draft. He was traded to the San Francisco 49ers at the deadline last season to shore up their pass rush for a playoff push.

The former Buckeye tied a career-high with 7.5 sacks, adding 25 tackles and 41 pressures between Washington and San Francisco.

In 43 games as a pro over four seasons, Young has tallied 100 combined tackles with 67 solo and 20 for loss.

He's also registered 32 quarterback hits, three fumble recoveries, and six forced fumbles along with nine passes defended. Young dealt with a torn right ACL in 2021 which cost him most of the 2022 season as he appeared in just 12 games over two years.
