Falcons finally get star TE Kyle Pitts more involved in win vs. Seahawks

After two weeks of handwringing, Atlanta Falcons fans and fantasy football players can breathe a sigh of relief.

In a 27-23 win in Seattle in Week 3, tight end Kyle Pitts got eight targets, hauling in five for 87 yards. Although he didn't score, he had a major role in helping the Falcons flummox the Seahawks' defense.

Pitts' big Sunday came after two weeks of limited yardage, with the second-year tight end expressing frustration in himself for his quiet start.

Atlanta head coach Arthur Smith promised that bigger things were coming for the fourth pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Pitts and Smith had a nice moment after the team's win at Lumen Field, likely both relieved to get this breakout game under their belts.

Pitts, who has nine catches for 125 yards this season, has not had the dominating start that many were expecting. Perhaps Falcons QB Marcus Mariota should share that blame. Judging by this throw, it might behoove the Falcons to consider another QB in the seasons ahead.
