Falcons hire former Bears GM Ryan Pace as senior personnel executive

Just over six weeks ago, Ryan Pace was fired as the general manager of the Chicago Bears. Now, the 45-year-old has found a new home in the NFC.

Pace served as the Bears GM from 2015 to 2021. During his tenure, Chicago posted a 48-65 mark in the regular season and 0-2 record in the playoffs.

According to Falcons digital managing editor Scott Bair, Pace will work under Atlanta GM Terry Fontenot and alongside scouts Ruston Webster and Phil Emery. Bair further noted that Fontenot and Pace worked together with the New Orleans Saints for 13 years.

The new Falcons hire was named executive of the year by Sporting News in 2018, when the Bears made the playoffs for the first time in eight seasons.
