Yesterday, the Falcons announced a few roster moves ahead of their game against the Texans this Sunday.

Most notably, tight end Parker Hesse was placed on injured reserve. The Falcons also added Frank Darby back to their practice squad and signed defensive lineman Eli Ankou off the Bills practice squad. There was speculation about who Ankou would replace on the active roster, and it appears we now have our answer, as wide receiver Josh Ali was also placed on injured reserve.

Ali made some plays during the preseason, earning a spot on the 53-man roster, but has yet to record a reception this season.

Ankou is a 325-pound defensive tackle that specializes in stopping the run. He’s spent six years in the league, last appearing for the Bills and Titans during the 2021 campaign.
