The Falcons and Giants matchup this Sunday in MetLife stadium could have the makings for a pretty unwatchable game, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t money to be made! Both franchises are still battling for their first wins of the 2021 season but are in different phases as a team. The Giants could realistically win their division, while the Falcons are just trying to establish a new culture and schemes.

Oddsmakers see this being a reasonably close game; the Giants opened as 3-point favorites, but that line has slipped down to 2.5 Friday morning. There has also been movement in the total points as the line dropped from 48.5 to 47.5 since opening.

Some trends that need to be known if you want action on this matchup. Atlanta is 7-2 ATS against a team with a losing record in their last nine games. The Over is 1-8-1 in New York home games in their previous ten games. The Giants are also 6-18-1 ATS at home in their last 25 games.

Both team’s offensive lines are  porous units, but this game has the potential to be more exciting than one might initially think because these two defenses haven’t started the season too well. The Falcons defense ranks dead last in DVOA after giving up 80 points in the first two weeks combined, while the Giants defense ranks 27th in DVOA.

I have a hard time seeing these two teams not putting up serious points on these awful defenses. I think the Giants win this one, but the Falcons show some life and cover. The total is a bit more challenging to project. If the offensive lines can play even averagely, they’ll crush the Over.
